Wilkes University worked with a local program (In the Gap, a community service group that helps families find homes and eventually work toward owning the houses) to make this year's Make-a-Difference Day a great success. Many residence halls and university clubs, including Spanish Club, volunteered their time performing manual labor that helped clean-up the local houses in the community. It was a lot of hard work but also very fun and rewarding, especially after meeting and working with the families that we were helping.

Club day was a great success! The Spanish Club table was a hot spot to stop by on such a sunny September day. Over 50 students visited the table and were happy to take a Mexican lolly. Some students were hesitant when they found out the candy was covered with chili, lime, and salt but once they tried it, they loved it. Its always good to try something new, eh? We are looking forward to many fun events this year and trying new things! Please join us for the next meeting on September 19th at 11:30am. ¡Hasta Pronto!

Look forward to postings about club updates, events, and trips!
